There is a pond just below the summit, and the water in the valley is abundant, so I think it was a castle blessed with water. It is enough to wait 30 minutes for the round trip of the main hull. The road is well maintained and you can reach the main wall without getting lost. Unlike Kitajo, Nanjo has a very beautiful view. As a result, fine relics cannot usually be found only by round trips to the main section, so hiking is recommended for hiking. There are no outstanding structures on the way to the road that has been maintained, and it is a mountain castle where you can enjoy the winding circles only to the extent that you can clearly see the main ridge and the winding circles in front of it. If you visit carefully, you may be a little disappointed. I think advanced people should explore the ruins around a road without road. By the way, if you are thinking of climbing by car, you should come by the road via Kitajo. This is because the road that runs north from the south to reach Nanjo is currently impassable. Please keep in mind that you will come by the route of passing north castle → south castle. There is a space where you can park a little less than 5 cars at the entrance to Nanjo, but the road is very narrow. If you are not confident in driving, be careful, and thank you to everyone, who will climb a road with almost no evacuation space for cars for less than 10 minutes.

Ryuozan Castle Ruins (Nanjo) Ryuozan Castle has Kitajo and Nanjo on Mt. Ryuozan in the northern part of Yamato, and its scale is one of the largest in Japan. The altitude of Nanjo is 585.9m, and Kitajo is about 60m lower. It is thought that Kitajo is the main castle and Nanjo is packed. With a relative height of about 485m, it is the largest in Yamato Province, surpassing Takatori Castle. Ishigaki, earthworks, moats, and Kuruwa are still in existence, and it is a spectacular castle ruin. It is a mystery that it is not designated as a historic site. The walk was about 4.3km including Kitajo and Nanjo, and the time required was 2 hours and the height difference was about 330m. However, it is necessary to go with strict equipment to take a walk in the castle due to the devastation of the climbing road. It is a medieval mountain castle castle that Mr. Toichi, the lord of Yamato, made a general contract. It seems that the six Guo groups in the east and west corresponded to Koryuouyama Castle, and the Guo groups were created and renovated in the direction of Kamaguchi and Anashiyama in later generations. On the east side of Koryu Oyama Castle, a large earthwork and Ohorikiri are contracted, and you can feel a high sense of defense toward Fujii and Kasa. The western huts, which were created and renovated in posterity, have wide huts with loose flats. However, there are also the remains of the Masugata-ku, and there is also a part of the general contract that is close to the modern castle. There are some remains that have been destroyed, probably because of the maintenance of the mountain trail, so we hope that they will be maintained and preserved as a castle ruins park.

From Kintetsu Yanagimoto Station, proceed beside the Emperor Chongjin Mausoleum, and after about 30 minutes on the mountain road, you will reach the summit. It is a mountain castle that connects two castles, Nanjo and Kitajo, and has a fairly large territory. The castle is built on the top of the mountain at an altitude of 586 meters, and if the weather is nice, you can enjoy the view of the Nara Basin and Mt. Kongo.
