The floats are breathtaking in scale and beauty. I only wish I could be here for the next festival to see them as they move through the city.
B	Brian Sudol on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you cannot be in Goshogawara for the Tachineputa festival held from August 4th-8th every year, I heartily recommend you check out the museum. Let me add that if you have seen the festival, the museum is still a great experience from a historical perspective. Nicely organized displays make for a pleasant experience and the floats are simply jaw-dropping. Seeing them from the 3rd or 4th floor let's you get a perspective you are unable to during the parade. Well worth the price of admission and the gift shop/area a has an EXCELLENT selection of culinary and apparel goods (and souvenirs) to purchase.

There is a spiral ramp all the way from the top to bottom floor. On the third floor, you get to watch a video about the floats. The videos are played according to its schedule.

Not sure if there's a parking lot for this place, but there is paid parking across the street. It's very accessible for anyone with mobility issues as well.

The museum is really well designed because you begin on the fourth floor and walk along the outside in a circle giving you a 360 degree view of the Neputa. There was also a really good video that plays regularly throughout the day and a temporary exhibition on the second floor. Definitely worth going to.
