★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's true value not because it's cheaper but because it's delicious. The team treats you like families and offer fresh and good foods.
They are so welcoming and warm, and try to accommodate with English speakers.
Don't get fooled by it's smaller store space, the meat is so fresh you'll love it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First of all, let me just say, if you're already looking at this place, then you should just come right away, because this place has one of the nicest, friendliest, and warmest place in the area.
First of all, Kyoto is full of tourist. When my wife and I walked in here, we were the only tourist. Everyone else was a local. The moment we walked in, I'm sure they knew we were illiterate. They sat us down, and we looked at the menu and we were as lost as a headless chicken, and they knew. The staff gave is the English menu right away. That's right, an izakaya that's popular among locals, have an all English menu. What a great start.
The staffs were so friendly, they really try to understand what we wanted. The food? Amazing, smelled so good, I finished them in 3 minutes. Price? Pretty cheap. A big bottle of hot sake is 700 yen, which is pretty standard.
This place became one of my top 3 highlights of visiting Japan, and I will visit this place everytime I come to Kyoto.
P.S. the owner (I think) gave us a free sticker of the store. Love it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious yakitori and kushi-age as well as a variety of small dishes. Super friendly service, very popular so would recommend you get a reservation if possible.
Staff is very nice and friendly, prices are reasonable and overall a great place to get some good food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing staff, fantastic food, awesome atmosphere. My husband and I came in for supper on our first night in Kyoto because the izakaya was close to our hotel, and we came back the next night because it was so great the first time. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were so patient with us as we fumbled through our Japanese. If we ever get back to Kyoto, we will be coming back!
