★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 須磨山上遊園の最寄り駅、というよりロープウェイへの乗換駅です。念のため注意ですが、JRの須磨海浜公園(須磨水族館の最寄り駅)とは異なります。そして当駅は山陽電鉄の駅です。初めて行ったときはJRだとかんちがいした(+_+)

まだ、桜の時期には早いです。
春になると公園の桜がとても綺麗ですよ(^^)
むかーし、ロープウェイ乗って山上遊園まで行ったけど、まだその上に行くなんか小さな一人乗りのゴンドラみたいなのが登坂角が結構あって今にも脱線しそうで怖かった思い出が（笑）

須磨浦公園行きの特急は到着後、駅西側の引き上げ線に回送され、そこで折り返し作業を行っています。直通特急は普段は通過です。

麓の桜が見頃。花吹雪が綺麗。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 山陽電気鉄道本線と須磨浦ロープウェイの駅です。ロープウェイ入り口は海側の姫路方面の駅改札左手にあります。山側は崖のため海側の入り口から山陽電気鉄道のホームの頭上を渡って山頂に向かいます。ロープウェイは日中15分間隔で運転しています。
It is a station of Sanyo Electric Railway Main Line and Sumaura Ropeway. The entrance to the ropeway is on the left side of the station ticket gate in the direction of Himeji on the sea side. Since the mountain side is a cliff, we cross over the platform of the Sanyo Electric Railway from the entrance on the sea side and head toward the mountaintop. 須磨浦ロープウェイの乗り場と隣接していて、駅を出るとすぐ右手側に乗り場があります。
阪神からの特急の一部が当駅で折り返します。ただホームは2面2線しかなく、到着した列車はすぐに留置線に入ります。
その留置線は駅ホームを出るとまっすぐで、本線のほうが左へ分岐する形になっています。
このように終着列車があったり、ロープウェイの乗換えがあったりと主要駅のような雰囲気を出しつつも、実は無人駅で、さらに山陽電車の駅の中では乗降客数が意外にも最下位なのだとか。
