★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very friendly restaurant owner, speaks very good English. He loves Michael Jackson ? I always go in to get a large pigs feet tonkotsu bowl with extra pork slices and it only costs 800 Yen! And the pork slices are thick! Delicious! He plays American music, and if you want to not sit at the bar and get the full Japanese experience he has tatami mats with low tables. Enjoy!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious, rich ramen. The sesame pork was wonderful. There is only low table and bar seating. The manager speaks English well. He only takes cash so bring some yen with you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The home of the original pig feet ramen. No pig feet in your ramen, but the taste is complex and frankly the best! It does have slices of pork in a creamy broth along with shallots and seaweed.
Ready to go back and try the fried rice or maybe a whole slew of other dishes!

Gem in the middle of downtown Iwakuni. 100 yen parking straight across. Got there shortly after 6, and thankfully no one was there so we got good seating (about 6 counter seats and 2 tables on tatami mats that can sit 4 people). It was our first time, but the person (who I assume is the owner since he was a one-many army) was awesome! Provided us an english menu and gave us the popular recommendations. We got our food within 10 minutes, I was speechless! It was also amazing! Like really freakin good! I've travelled a lot in Japan and as far as tonkotsu ramen, this is the 2nd time I've been amazed that a local business in Iwakuni is serving something this amazing and in my 2 years of being here, never heard of it until recently. Please go here, the atmosphere may be different than what you see in other shops, but the customer service won't disappoint, the food definitely won't disappoint, and your wallet will be glad, the bill for my family only came out to 1800 Yen! #supportsmallbusinesses
