関西に創建されたのに、関東に移ったという、少し苦難の歴史のある、お寺です。
《江戸時代の創建》
延宝5年（1677年）に、河内国（現在の東大阪市）に創建されました。明治初期の廃仏毀釈などにより、少し衰退しましたが、現在の東京板橋に、明治時代中旬に移転しました。
《日蓮本宗のお寺》
お寺は、富士門流の日蓮本宗のお寺です。
