★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 御祭神は大穴牟遅命（大己貴命＝大国主命）。創建年代は不詳ですが，下総国香取郡の鎮守蕎麦鷹明神分霊を祀ったと伝わる。享保14年に蕎麦鷹の社号を側高に改められたそうです。ネットで検索してみると千葉県香取市大倉に香取神社第一摂社と呼ばれる「側高神社」があり，御祭神は神秘にして口にすること許されず。利根川下流域には，様々な漢字を当てられた「そばたか」神社が点在するそうです。
「そばたか」神の謎は気になりますが，高台に鎮座する広々とした境内入口の両部鳥居を見た途端に感じたのですが，ため息が出るような見事な古木，石碑群や境内社，悠久の歴史を感じずにはおれない社殿など，本当に素晴らしい社です。また実に丁寧に清掃されていらっしゃる・・・本当に良き御神域，理想的な地域の鎮守であり，氏子の方々の誇りとする社であること，間違いありません。
 The god of ritual is Okuninushi's late life (Okuninushi = Okuninushi). The date of its foundation is unknown, but it is said that it enshrined the guardian soba hawk Myojin spirit of Katori-gun, Shimousa. In 14th year of Kyoho, the company name of Soba Hawk was changed to the side height. When I searched on the internet, I found "Sobataka Shrine" in Okura, Katori City, Chiba Prefecture, which is called "Sobataka Shrine". It is said that "Sobataka" shrines with various Chinese characters are scattered in the lower reaches of the Tone River.
I'm worried about the mystery of the "Soba Taka" god, but as soon as I saw the torii gates of both parts of the spacious precincts that sit on the hill, I felt a stunning old tree and stone monuments that made me sigh. It is a truly wonderful company, such as the shrine, the precincts, and the shrine where you cannot help feeling the eternal history. In addition, it has been cleaned very carefully ... There is no doubt that it is a really good sanctuary, a guardian of an ideal area, and a company that the children are proud of.
