★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 御祭神は岐神・天鳥船命。応永年間(1394-1427)に創建。境内の由緒碑によれば，天文年間(1532-1555)に村内に火災あり，社殿もまさに其の災に罹らんとす。時にたまたま狗あり。走りて心礼の池に入り身を浸し，社殿に至り身振ること数十百千度。ために全きを得たりと社殿の類焼を免れし神徳を狗の功に託して説ける伝説の意，思ふべきなり。
最後のセンテンスが典雅な表現ですため，少々意訳しますと，「・・・賢いワンちゃんお手柄という伝説がありますが，その心は，御祭神の徳の深さを，ワンワンの行動に託して表現したものでありますよ・・・」ということでしょうか。
三方を道路で囲まれた逆三角形の広い社地に，正参道は南側の角から古い鎮守の並木を歩み，裏参道は右手の最近新築の山野公民館側からで，境内の様子からしてもなかなかの大社であることは明らかです。
拝殿の屋根の一部が破損しているようでしたが，修理待ちの様子であります。
