★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 東小金井で美味しいカレーを食べた後は
帰りがてらスイーツを食べることに。
見つけたお店はSLOPEという店名。
場所は杉並区上井草2にあります。
上井草駅からも近かったかなー。
こちらはテイクアウトもできるようですが
私は店内でいただきます。
色々ある中で今回はアイスコーヒーと
濃厚カボチャプリンを注文。
店内はコンクリート打ちっぱなしで
シンプルな店内です。
本棚にはいろいろ雑誌や本が置かれていました。
さて、まずはアイスコーヒー。
適度な酸味と苦みがあるけど、
濃すぎずすっと飲める味わいです。
後味もよくて美味しいアイスコーヒーですなー。
カボチャプリンは上にホイップクリームがのってます。
適度な硬さのあるプリンで濃厚なカボチャの甘味と
カラメルがやや苦みがあって調和がとれています。
ややカボチャは荒い目で食感も残ってるかも。
クリームにも絡めながら美味しくいただきました。
雰囲気もよくゆっくりできるお店で
次は普通のプリンも提供されていたら食べてみたいです。

I had a plain scone with anko and a hojicha latte. Very nice.
The staff were also very nice and friendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of my fave coffee shops along Seibu Shinjuku Lines. They serve good coffee. The shop's deco is very simple and has a small bookshelf consisting of picture books. Weekends are always full of people and you've got to que even for take away (to go.)
Better to visit during weekdays when it's quiet and relaxing. Their freshly made USA style scones ( different from British scones ), muffins and pound cakes are delish.
NOTE: Sadly, for the past few months, quality of their baked goods have gone downhill. Have they changed their recipe??? I used to stop by to purchase some sweets after work but not anymore.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really nice coffee shop, it was so good to find a cafe that has an espresso machine, as is not too common in Tokyo, coffee was nice, we'll balanced and smooth. Scones are delicious, the staff is super nice and friendly.
Love this place.
