Kazutoyo Yamauchi was a military commander and daimyo from the Warring States period to the early Edo period. Mr. Tosa Yamauchi, the first feudal lord of the Tosa domain. The family crest is the three Kashiwa crests. My father is Moritoyo Yamauchi, a senior vassal of Oda Iwakura, and my mother is Hidenori Hoshu. My grandfather is Kutoyo. Juro for his brother and Yasutoyo for his younger brother. My wife is Kenshoin, which is known for her help. Commonly known as Iemon or Iemon. Later, he adopted Yasutoyo's eldest son, Tadayoshi (the second feudal lord). In the 5th year of Keicho (1600) after Hideyoshi's death, he participated in the subjugation of Uesugi Kagekatsu in Aizu according to Ieyasu Tokugawa, the five elders. When Go-Bugyō Ishida Mitsunari and others raised troops while Ieyasu was away, Kazutoyo was the first to live in Kakegawa, while the generals were at a loss for the eastern army's departure from the military congress (Koyama rating) in Koyama, Shimonokuni. He said that he would provide the castle to Ieyasu, and with his joy, he joined the East Army. Horio came up with the idea of ​​providing this residence when he consulted with Mr. Tadauji Horio in advance, but he heard what he had inadvertently leaked, and offered it to Ieyasu as his own idea, and it is said that he was grateful. It is also famous that he received the news of Mitsunari Ishida's recruitment in a secret letter from his wife in Osaka. Although the credibility of these stories is questionable, Kazuuji Nakamura, another daimyo of the Tokaido line, is on the bed of death, and Yoshiharu Horio, also Tadashi's father, is seriously injured by a thug. While the veteran generation was losing their ability to act, Kazutoyo was coordinating so that the surrounding forces would join the East Army. It is probable that he was in contact with Kazutoyo during this period, such as Terumasa Ikeda, the owner of Yoshida Castle in Mikawa Province, and played a role in coordinating the vassals of Toyotomi's patronage. In the battle between Kawadajima Village and Komeno Village, which is the outpost of the Battle of Sekigahara, he defeated the army of Hidenobu Oda, the lord of Gifu Castle, who was on the side of the Western Army, along with Terumasa Ikeda and Yukinaga Asano. In the main battle, these warlords were in charge of holding down the Mouri and Chosokabe troops in Nanguyama, but the battle was a slam dunk because the Kikkawa Hiroie corps of the Mouri army, who had been intimidated by the East Army, was in Nanguyama. Instead, he left Terumasa and moved to the main battlefield. After the war, the remarks made by the lords who could not decide to leave at the Oyama meeting toward Tokugawa were evaluated as achievements, and Tosa Kuniichi was given 98,000 stones. Later, 202,600 stones were approved by the shogunate due to the rehabilitation.
