浄土真宗本願寺派 辻重山 紫雲寺
元来は天台宗寺院であり、阿弥陀寺と称していましたが、天正9年(1581)に住職の全教が本願寺第11代顕如宗主に帰依・改宗し、寺号を紫雲寺としました。近隣には「大岡裁き」で有名な大岡越前守陣屋跡がありますが、大岡越前の当時は寺子屋でもあり、近代に至っては岡崎市立男川小学校の開学の地でもあります。また、境内には徳川家康生地である岡崎城の敷地内に建てられていた巽門が山門として移築されており、三つ葉葵の家紋を付した瓦が残されています。

In addition, Tatsumi-mon, which was built on the site of Okazaki Castle, which is the fabric of Ieyasu Tokugawa, has been relocated as a mountain gate on the precincts.
