歩道の整備は終わったようで、問題なく歩けます。
I have seen various marshes in Tohoku, but there is no other marsh like this!
The sidewalk seems to be finished and I can walk without any problems.

あまり見ることがない景色でとても綺麗でした。
足場が、悪くすこし整備されていない場所があるので歩く際は注意が必要です。
そのため、歩きやすい靴でいくことをオススメします。植物をかき分けですすむ部分もあるので長袖長ズボンでいくといいとおもいます。
手があまり施されていない自然が見れるので植物や自然が好きな方にオススメです。

20年７月に訪れた時、朽ちた木道を直す工事が行われてましたが、今日９月下旬に訪れたら木道工事は終了し、綺麗に歩きやすくなってました。
名前の通り、シラタマノキの群生があります
I like marshes, so I've been to them several times for several years.
When I visited in July 2008, work was being done to repair the decayed wooden path, but when I visited in late September today, the wooden path construction was completed and it became easier to walk beautifully.
As the name suggests, there is a herd of Gaultheria pyroloids.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 泥炭地の湿地帯で、今までシラタマノキは見てきましたが、これでもかと言うくらありました。車道から整備された道を歩いてきた道が見えないくらい歩きます。入口に熊に注意する看板がありました。自分一人しか居なかったので鈴を鳴らしこっちに気づくようにしました。
何故かというと２日前に近くでクマの気配を感じることがあったからね警告の看板に素直に従わないわけにはいかなかった。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 自然が作った日本庭園のようでとても美しい光景でした。個人的には国宝級の美しさだと思います。
秋は紅葉とシラタマノキが同時に見れて得した気分です。
ただ、入口に熊注意の看板があって怖かったです。熊鈴をいつもの何倍も鳴らし、熊スプレーを握りしめながら散策しました。
画像は春に行ったときと秋に行ったときの2種類ありますので、景色の違いをお楽しみください。

In autumn, I feel like I was able to see the autumn leaves and Gaultheria pyroloid at the same time.
However, I was scared because there was a bear caution sign at the entrance. I rang the bear bell many times as usual and took a walk while holding the bear spray.
There are two types of images, one when you go in spring and the other when you go in autumn, so please enjoy the difference in scenery.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ シラタマノキってなんじゃ？と言う事で何となく好奇心で立ち寄ってみた。
須川湖脇の小さな駐車場からおよそ4〜500㍍ほどだろうか、熊注意の看板を横目に歩いて行くと、ブナ林が途切れて視界が開け、小さめの湿原が現れた。木道が整備されており歩くのに問題は無い。
小さな湿原なので、それほど時間をかけずにあらかた見る事が出来る。肝心のシラタマノキはどこ？と探していたら、足元に小さな白い丸いものが、"おおぉ〜"これはシラタマっぽいではないか、シラタマノキは木にあらず、高山植物の一種か？可憐で小さな花が可愛らしい、紅葉した山と湿原に白い花、初めて知ったよこんな花。

Pretty and small flowers are cute, white flowers in the autumnal mountains and marshes, this is the first flower I knew.
