茶	茶虎たま吉 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 埼玉県指定文化財「甚左衛門堰（じんざえもんせき）」。煉瓦がづくりが特徴です。現在(2018/6月)は周辺遊歩道を整備中のようです。整備が完了すれば夜は灯篭などのライトアップで趣のある風情を楽しめるようになるかもしれません。 "Jinzaemon Seki", a cultural property designated by Saitama Prefecture. It is made of bricks. Currently (June 2018), it seems that the surrounding promenade is under maintenance. If the maintenance is completed, you may be able to enjoy the tasteful atmosphere by lighting up the lanterns at night.
直	直哉 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 水田の用水量を調整するため、綾瀬川と伝右川の間に設けられた堰です。野口甚左衛門という人が最初に作り、明治27年に現在の煉瓦造りの堰に改修されました。昭和58年まで使用されました。黒い煉瓦がびっしり積まれてデザイン力がものすごく、私も散歩で時々コースに入れる素敵な場所です。水運と共に栄えた宿場町草加、水との戦いも古くから繰り返され、先人たちの努力で気づかれた隠れた名所だと私は思ってます。 It is a weir installed between the Ayase River and the Denu River to adjust the amount of water used in the paddy fields. It was first made by a person named Jinzaemon Noguchi, and was renovated into the current brick weir in 1897. It was used until 1983. The black bricks are piled up and the design power is tremendous, and it is a wonderful place that I sometimes take a walk on the course. Soka, a post town that prospered along with water transportation, and the battle with water have been repeated for a long time, and I think it is a hidden attraction that was noticed by the efforts of our predecessors.
