集落から歩いてくる参道は長らく使っていないようです。

地元の人も側を通る舗装道路を使うのか、表参道は倒木のために通れなくなっていた。
驚いたのが日露戦争の記念石碑の文字を書いたのがあの長岡外史だったこと。どんな縁故で頼んだんだろう。
白洲正子さんの著書「かくれ里」に書かれていた田原天皇が住まわれた「御邸」、いまは「鎮守の社がある」としていた神社はここなんだろうか。何の表示もなく、御祭神も神明社ということで天照大御神とありきたりで田原天皇とは関係ないし、どうなんだろうか。

There is no indication, and the festival god is a Shinmeisha shrine, so it's common with Amaterasu Omikami and it has nothing to do with Emperor Tahara.
