Entering Benzaiten Park parking lot from prefectural road Route 178, you can not see things like shrines at first glance, and when you approach the tree saying "There is a fairly thick zelkova tree", the torii can be seen in the section one step down from there, " Benzaiten "Shoi and the Tombstone, there is a Doso God stone monument in the Rui Shen Pagoda. Benten origin Benzaiten, which was celebrated on the island in the Atui River, became the current state in 1973, due to flood control, but it is a goddess of the Seven Lucky Gods, and is collecting the faith as the god who controls the musical word Fukutoku treasure. The company was erected in May of 1783. As it corresponds to the festival two hundred years in 1983 with the stone coffin (1983), it was dedicated to the approach to the Otori gate by a district volunteer. The annual festival is held on the day of the spring casket every year. There is a temple monument on the premises. It is a phrase that this island is blessed with clean Shimizu, which has made the traveler's throat sore. (From the information board) A monument of Benten Island Benten Island is a small island in the middle of the Yui River that flows through the western end of Shinmachi-yado, and there is a beneficiary of Benzaiten. Shinmachiyuku has been a thriving area of haiku since the Edo period, and there is a spirit of reverence for Haiku Samurai, and memorial monuments also exist in Ochiai Shinmachi and Tochigi Shinmachi. It was said, “Mushi-no-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-sen-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha”. It is said that the water called green fresh water spouted on the island, and the traveling travelers stopped their legs and moistened their throat. (From the information board) The Yui River (Nukuigawa) flows to the north side of Benzaiten, and the Yui River merges with the Kamogawa after this. Then the Shinryu River joins and pours into the Tone River. The scene when Benzaiten was the middle of the Atuigawa and the current landscape are probably quite different, and the tastes felt by the traveler at that time will be lost now. However, the efforts of the local people are excellent, and it differs from the atmosphere at that time by the preservation of Benzaiten, the preservation of the large zelkova of Benzaiten Park, and the maintenance of Shifabu Park in front of the eyes, but it is very refreshing It is a pleasant space. In addition, preservation of "government-owned new town scrap yarn spinning place" of the era when labor force from the whole country of 18 of the Meiji era (1877) was concentrated in the area and invitation of SDF are carried out, and town development making use of historical heritage and industrial heritage Not only does it cooperate with a little bit of defense, I feel like I can see the height of the awareness of people in the area thinking the area to think the family.

Benjaten Park is located beside the Benten Bridge (south side) where the old Nakasendo crosses the Oni River. A green area called "Shinmachi Shibafu Square" spreads to the south, and is equipped with a parking lot and toilets, making it convenient for parking and resting.
