★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 奥山と言っても山ではなく、浅草寺境内西側の奥まった場所の一角です。
かつて見世物小屋等が出されていた場所との事で、今の浅草演芸文化の素とも言える場所です。
今はひっそりとしていて、各種の句碑(松尾芭蕉の句碑も有るそうです)や石碑がいっぱいです。
Okuyama is not a mountain, but a part of a secluded place on the west side of the precincts of Sensoji Temple.
It used to be a place where exhibition halls were once set up, and it can be said to be the basis of the current Asakusa performing culture.
Now it's quiet and full of various monuments (including Basho Matsuo's monument) and stone monuments.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 江戸の頃、大道芸人や見世物小屋など盛り場として賑わっていた場所で、奥山と呼ばれていた。石碑や墓石、青蛙の像があります。西山宗因、松尾芭蕉、榎本其角の句碑もあります。
During the Edo period, the area was bustling with street performers and show huts, and was called Okuyama. There are monuments, tombstones and statues of blue frogs. There are also monuments of Sogen Nishiyama, Basho Matsuo, and Sono Enomoto.
