I already encountered numerous temples and shrines along the way in Kyoto and other famous places. Therefore i were already a bit desensibilized to them due to the inflationary high number of wonderful landmarks in this country, which does not mean that Senso-Ji isn't in any way less spectacular. ?? The place is full of the spirituality and craftsmanship that Japan is reknown for and a very fotogenic spot to take pictures. ? It is an easy stroll and absolutely worthwhile! ?❤

The temple grounds are accessible 24/7( free), beautiful day and night. By day, the temple is full of people in traditional kimono, and the shopping street in front has some genuinely cool and unique souvenirs. Very spiritual and amazing temple.

It’s also called as Asakusa temple. Night view is really awesome. During Sakura season it’s a delight to see the beauty. It’s of the picturesque spots in Tokyo. Every photographer in Tokyo will atleast have 50-100 pics of Sensoji temple. It’s the first temple I visited in Tokyo. So I personally like this place. A must visit temple to any foreigner in Tokyo who believes in god.

I often go to this place to shop at the shops around the temple or to take pictures with the beautiful scenery here. This place is always crowded with visitors especially on holidays. Many Japanese people come to pray at the shrine here. But for a foreigner like me, this place has become a favorite tourist spot in Tokyo.

There are plenty of restaurants to dine at, cafes to eat at, shops to buy souvenirs from.. if you like Shiba, I'd recommend checking out one of the Shiba Cafe nearby Note, it's extremely crowded on New Years, and entering the temple to pray can easily take an hour or more.
