模擬の御柱もあります。跨がって落下…イメージしただけで恐怖です。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 諏訪大社 下社の二社（春宮・秋宮）に奉納する御柱の曳航で、一番の見せ場と言われるスポットです。
寅年、申年の御柱年に山中から樅の巨木を切り出して、神社へ運ぶのですが、その途中でこの地の急坂を若い衆が御柱にまたがって滑り落ちる「木落し」が行われます。
坂の上に立って見下ろしてみましたが、坂の勾配が想像をはるかに上回っていて驚きました。けが人が出るのも無理ないですね。
