★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 七年に一度、御柱祭に使用するご神木を、この坂から滑り落とさせるそうです。大層勇壮なお祭りのようですが、普段は疑似神木が置いてあるだけで、寂しいところです。
 It is said that once every seven years, the Shinboku used for the Onbashira festival will be slid down from this slope. It seems to be a heroic festival, but it is a lonely place because there is usually a pseudo-god tree.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 諏訪大社関係締めくくりの下社"天下の木落し坂"へ到着すると、模擬御柱を発見??。立派な御柱を見つつ先端から木落し坂を見ると恐怖心～?。よくこの坂を木に乗って落ちることが出来るな～と感心しつつ次の場所へ(^^)。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 7年毎､申年と寅年に行われる御柱祭。木落とし坂の斜度は45度近くあリます。およそ19mの長さのもみの木を落とすそうです。茅野市の上社の木落とし坂よりこちらの方が坂が急なように思いました。何人もの方が亡くなっても続いてきた神事です。これ以上の方が亡くなることがないようにお祈りしながら見てきました。

御柱祭りが、無事、おさまりますように。

木落し坂の上から見たときも傾斜がすごく、神事と言えど、この急傾斜を神木に跨がり滑り落ちてくるとは……スゴい！！と思いましたが、下から見上げても、ここに滑り落ちてくるのはスゴい迫力だと思います。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 御柱祭の最大の見せ場の一つ、下社山出しの木落しの舞台の場、木落し坂。坂自体は立ち入り禁止ですが、真上からと真下から、この迫力ある坂を眺めることができます。道路向かいにある砥川の河川敷には普段から降りることもできます。本来ならここに観覧席ができるはずだったんですね。次回こそ見たいなぁ。
