★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Highly recommended! English and vegetarian menu available. We just had a delicious home-cooked lunch - great ramen broth, freshly prepared salad with home-grown tomatoes and cucumber, home-made pickles, the best fried tofu. So good! And such a welcoming friendly place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place was very good! Our first night in Takayama, we stopped to buy one of the fresh fruit outside, and walked on looking for dinner. The lady was so sweet that we ended up coming back for dinner! We are SO GLAD that we did! We ate so much! The hida beef skewer was SO JUICY! The beef stew ramen is their own specialty! DEFINITELY recommend! Regular beef ramen is also good! I would also recommend trying to the local specialty: traditional pickles. On the English menu it's not very clear, but you receive an assortment of locally made pickles of various vegetables! Super fresh and delicious! And all goes well with a bottle of beer ?
