★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2022年2.23来訪。四万温泉入り口にある町営のそこそこの広さの日帰り施設です。個人的には無色無臭で入浴中は余り温泉らしさが余り感じられず、雪景色ばかりに目がいきましたが、上がって飲泉すると、あ、違うなあとなりますね。Google maps上はこの先にも地元ならではの日帰り湯治場が数カ所ありますが、現在はコロナ禍マンボウで開放されていません。焼きまんじゅう屋さんの話によると旅館で幾つか開いてるのもある様子、要確認
 Visited 2.23 in 2022. It is a town-run day-trip facility at the entrance of Shiman Onsen. Personally, it's colorless and odorless, and I didn't really feel like a hot spring while taking a bath. On Google maps, there are several local day-trip hot springs in the future, but they are not currently open due to the corona sunfish. According to the story of the Yakimanjuya, there are some inns that are open, so check it out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 以前から気になってた日帰り温泉！1月2日に伺いました！内湯と露天が1つづつ。脱衣場は、あまり広くない感じはしたけど、わりと綺麗なとこでした♨ 湯加減も丁度よく、雪見風呂最高でした? ちなみに、目的地まであと少しとゆう所から、急に道に雪が増え始めました！スタッドレス必須です！
One-day hot springs that I've always been interested in! I visited on January 2nd! There is one indoor bath and one open-air bath. The dressing area wasn't very large, but it was rather beautiful. ♨ The hot water was just right, and the Yukimi bath was the best. started! Studless is a must!

休憩所あり施設内は清潔お休み処も自動販売機があったり無料のお茶等がありました。
景観も良いですよね。
温泉の温度は内湯も露天も43度位で調度良いです。
加温なし、多少加水はしてるようです塩素の臭いがしてました。
良い目の銭湯って感じ。
I entered the museum for 500 yen for 2 hours.
There is a rest area The facility is clean. There was a vending machine and free tea in the rest area.
The landscape is also good, isn't it?
The temperature of the hot spring is about 43 degrees for both the indoor and outdoor baths, which is good.
There was no heating, and it seemed to be slightly hydrated. It smelled of chlorine.
It feels like a public bath with good eyes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was not able to visit due to my wife's tattoos (a common restriction for onsen baths in Japan), but the baths were visible from our room across the river and looked beautiful.
The kanji 四万 represent the numbers 4 and 10,000 and are pronounced "shima". Shima Onsen is known as such because it is said the water can treat 40,000 different ailments.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shima-seiryu no yu is a great day-use onsen. It is owned by the city of Nakanojo and is open to the general public.
Like the other hotsprings in the Shima area it is a calcium-salt onsen. The baths are clean and both offer indoor and outdoor sections. Both baths have an excellent view of the river and surrounding mountains.
The only caveat is that you trade a bit of privacy for the great view.
If you are in Shima-onsen for a day, this is a great place to take a bath and relax.
The fee is 500 yen for 2 hours, 800 for 3. Be sure to bring your own towel. Parking is free but limited.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just visited this local public onsen. It was snowing and using the outside bath was amazing. Scenes of the river, trees covered in snow whilst sitting in a lovely hot onsen. Definitely worth a visit. It's a 20 minute walk from Shima Onsen and Sekizenkan. Didn't have the chance to take any photos, sorry.

Three pools- all super clean.
Chill out / lounge area is relaxing and has a stove heater to keep you warm. Staff were super friendly and handed me an English leaflet. ¥500 entry
