★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sheridan is a wonderful breakfast and brunch restaurant in Karuizawa. The pancakes are excellent and the Chicago-style oven baked omelets are out of this world. I particularly recommend the salmon omelet which is covered in blanket of smoked salmon slices. Also, the restaurant itself was architected by a protege of Frank Lloyd Wright.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The restaurant is lovely and cozy. I like the feel of this restaurant when I walked in.
However, I felt the service was bad andthe ladies were arrogant. When I walk into a breakfast or brunch restaurant, I expect to receive a friendly services with some smiles to lighten up customers’ mood. I felt cold when interacting with both ladies.
We ordered the salmon omelette, sausage omelette and the skillet. Honestly, they looked good but tasted below average. It does not taste like a 1700 yen omelette. I tried a bit of all three dishes and very disappointed.
I am sorry but this is definitely a one time thing for me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely lovely place. A cozy and comfortable environment to eat in with the building surrounded by trees as well as a center room that had some nature as well.
While I was there it was a mother and daughter team running it and they were so nice. I did what I could to speak totally in Japanese, they were nice enough to also reply in English when I struggled.
We also had a nice conversation about the curling arena nearby because I was playing at the hockey rink right next door.
The pancakes, bacon, and coffee were all delicious as well.
I recommend this place without a doubt.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice quiet atmosphere. They serve western style breakfast that is very delicious. The salmon omelette is amazing. Coffee is served in a pot with probably 4 cups worth which was nice.
Surrounded in a wooded area the scenery is relaxing. A nice place to bring kids as well.
Came at 8am on a Monday morning and we were able to get a table right away. The place was about 80%full.
