An awesome place for hiking and spending a whole day in the woods. Its better to start early in the day and make a complete round of all the spots. There are around 20 spots you can visit. Beware of trekking after dark as wild boars, monkeys and bears can be spotted here. The visuals of aligned Tori gates are Devine.

THE famous spot in Kyoto. Everybody’s trying to take a picture at the front but trust me just keep walking. Further you go, more and better pictures you can take without people in your frame.

One of the best places I’ve been in the world. Its architecture it’s so unique, you can’t describe it. The nature is equally incredible and you can also stop at a very nice cafe to cool down a little bit during the visit. It’s a place you can’t miss if you visit Japan.

Free admission, can be access by bicycle, and good food shops nearby. Don't forget to get bike rentals very affordable and accessible.

This place looks like same as in the picture, it's must see place. However ecen this corona days it's crowded. The final shrine is on top of the mountain, and it's very hard to climb on hot days. Be prepared for that.

Very pretty, but gets less pretty as you go higher up the mountain, culminating in a Tori gate junkyard at the top, with no views. Go see this place, but don't waste your time past the 5th stop.

When I was go there, it was ending of falls, but still beautiful to me, and dont worry if you want to go here, its free enterance and you can go here by train or taxi if you afforable, and if you have make a plan to go here, please be patience when you take a picture, because in Japanese people taking photo of strangers is violent

Absolutely my favorite part of our visit to Kyoto. Best time to go is first thing in the morning. I believe we arrived sometime around 7 in the morning - barely anyone is there and it was a very peaceful hike. Even my 4 and 6 year olds loved it... Though the ice cream half way down on the way back probably helped.
