There was a sign and I entered the site. At first glance, I thought it was a private residence and entered with excitement.

I passed during the Saigoku pilgrimage. This is the site of the Sekisho, which was established by Emperor Tenmu the year after the Yang Water Monkey (672). It was used as a seki for about 100 years and was abolished in 789.

It seems that the post office was maintained after the 7th century revolt. On the north side of the JR Tokaido Main Line, there is a remains of the "Fuwano Seki North Limitation Site". At the time when the west side of the Nobi plain was surrounded by a shallow sea and the Tokaido was connected by the sea, here Fuwa-gun became a knot of land transportation connecting East Japan and West Japan. The battle of Aonogahara in the Middle Ages, the battle of Sekigahara in the early modern period, etc. has continued to be the setting of the battle in the world. The Tokaido Shinkansen, the Tokaido Main Line, the Meishin Expressway, and the National Route No. 21 pass through this area even now that the western side of the Nobi Plain has been drained, and it continues to be a key area for land transportation.

A small museum in Fuwa, which had only the knowledge that it was set up to protect the city from the invasion of barbarians. We had you take a closer look at the reproduction model of Fuwa Seki.
