先発品と後発品では効果が違うと言うのは、昔から裏では囁かれてきたことですが、今回のジェネリックの事件でそれが証明されました。ジェネリックには、研究開発費が、安く済むという利点があります。そのため、先発品より低い薬価に定められています。ネームバリューが低いジェネリックを売るためには、先発品以上の旨みが必要になります。先発品より安い薬価のジェネリックが、先発品以上の利益を提供するためには、安い原料を使う、人件費を削る、製造工程を簡略化する、この3つしか無いのです。そんな作り方をして、先発品なみの良い薬ができる訳ありません。
