★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 文字通り山陽女子短期大学のそば、山陽女学園中等部、高等部、看護学校の近くに立地する広電宮島線の駅。広電宮島線より400m程度海よりに西国街道が、電車の線路にほぼ平行に通っており、その名残である佐方一里塚跡などがある。周辺は下町情緒のある住宅街。
A station on the Hiroden Miyajima Line, literally located near Sanyo Women's Junior College, Sanyo Jogakuen Middle School, High School, and Nursing School. The Nishikuni Kaido road is approximately 400m from the Hiroden Miyajima Line and runs almost in parallel with the train tracks. The neighborhood is a residential area with a downtown atmosphere.
