★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 山王神社(さんのうじんじゃ)は京都府舞鶴市の中央部。
京都府舞鶴市蒲江の由良川河口近くの東岸に鎮座する神社。
ご祭神
大山咋神 (オオヤマクイノカミ)
境内には立派な梛の巨木があります。
本殿の背面は蒲江城跡らしいです。
このあたりの集落は川に昔ながらの地位さな洗い場が残っており、現在も畑の野菜を洗ったり利用されています。
「案内板」
寛正元年(1460)建立。
宝暦5年(1755)再建。
大津市坂本の山王総本宮・日吉大社の分霊社。
祭礼は10月第3日曜日。
振り物(太刀振り)と踊り太鼓は、無病息災と豊作を祈る府の無形民俗文化財。
神木の「梛の木」は、厄除け・相性・相愛の木と言われている。

The back of the main shrine seems to be the ruins of Kamae Castle.

Rebuilt in the 5th year of the Horeki (1755).
