ここ三段峡は紅葉やトレッキングが有名な所です。特にここの滝の三段滝はとても有名です。三段滝は物凄く素晴らしい滝です。圧倒される風景です。ここは秋にはとても紅葉が綺麗です。

Here Sandankyo is famous for its autumn colors and trekking. Especially, the three-tiered waterfall here is very famous. Sandan Waterfall is a wonderful waterfall. It is an overwhelming landscape. The autumn leaves are very beautiful here in autumn.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 駐車場、峡谷入口の?が真っ赤でした。
全体として、今季の紅葉は色付きが悪いようです。
入口から約4キロのところまでしか行けません（災害のため通行止め）。奥の渓谷へ行きたい人は、奥からしか入れません。
4キロでしたが、川沿いの遊歩道（けっこう急な登り下りや洞窟のようなトンネルがあり、道も狭い）はスリリングでした。
The parking lot and the ? at the entrance of the canyon were bright red.
Overall, the autumn leaves this season seem to be poorly colored.
You can only go up to about 4 km from the entrance (closed due to a disaster). Those who want to go to the valley in the back can only enter from the back.
It was 4 kilometers, but the promenade along the river (with fairly steep climbs, cave-like tunnels and narrow roads) was thrilling.

土砂崩れの為、奥へは無理との事。
※その分駐車場料金も安くしてらっしゃるようです
※200円でした。
名勝入り口には、イワナや鮎の塩焼きが串に刺さって焼かれており食欲をそそります。
※時間が遅かった為お団子をいただきました。
1時間あれば大人の足で行って帰ってこれます。
道中は狭路がある為譲り合いながら通行した方がスムーズに登れますね。
個人的な意見ではありますが、ファッションスニーカーや女性のヒール等で来られるのは止めた方が良いと思われます。
※途中の狭路や、崖ではないですが落ちたら怪我では済みそうにない箇所が多々あります。
是非紅葉を安全に楽しまれてください。

There are narrow roads along the way, so it's easier to climb if you pass by while giving up.
In my opinion, it's best not to wear fashion sneakers or women's heels.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great hike that isn't too difficult will lead you along the river. Take a boat through an interesting section if you want and stop for lunch at a rustic restaurant halfway. There are plenty of other things to see and do, so it's easy to spend a whole day exploring.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It takes about 1 hour to walk slowly from the parking lot to the dock.
You can climb with sneakers and casual clothes. All toilets cannot be used during the winter months from December to March. All ferry boats are closed. The ferry opens from 10:00～15:00. If you go out of time you will not be able to reach the other shore.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was a lot of fun. There is a bus that you can take from Hiroshima bus station that will take you there and back. If you go early enough it is an express bus and the return is at 1500.
There are some businesses by the entrance of the hiking place. It is nice. Some places to eat and shop. There is a hotel and onsen there too.
The hike was long but a lot of fun. The walkway is paved so it is very safe and enjoyable.
There is a boat ride and restaurant in the first part of the trip. Kind of cool.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This area has several streams, merging into each other then separate. They form a lot of water falls. People here model them into a natural travel spot.
Cool breezes and chilly streams. And there are also hiking trails alongside the streams and water falls. There are several big water falls like: 三段滝, 二段滝, 三ツ滝,... and lots of small ones. Some are really near the trail, so that you can access them and enjoy the chilly stream. There are also some spots where people let you ride the boat to go visit the water fall. They're really cool, but their services are not all-year available though.
Overall, 三段峡 is a marvelous place for any mother nature's fan. You should give it a try, especially in the summer.
