★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not like other towns, most of the street trees here are Yaezakura(Late-blooming cherry blossom). If you think you are little bit late for cherry blossom season, consider visiting here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quiet, safe, 10 minutes to Shibuya and not too expensive. Great place to live. There are no budgeted family restaurants near the station so I find it's hard to have a meal and do some work outside my house. No karaoke and 100-yen shop as well. If you are looking for entertainment close to the living area, this place might not be for you.
Note: The train toward Shibuya is always crowded. But that applies to all station along the Denentoshi line...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sazae-sanサザエさん is an incredibly well-known cartoon in Japan. It’s author, Machiko Hasegawa 長谷川町子 lived in Sakurashinmachi 桜新町, a leafy Tokyo that served as the comic’s setting. Several statues of the cartoon characters are on the sidewalks, including this one (below, left) near Sakurashinmachi Station 桜新町駅. South of the station is the Hasegawa Machiko Art Museum 長谷川町子美術館, which covers Sazae-san as well as Hasegawa’s private art collection.
The neighborhood immediately south of the station is very attractive, perhaps reflecting the town’s origins as a “luxury villa” 高級別荘 development in 1912 (the first in the Kanto region).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ From Shibuya Station to Yoga Station, the Denentoshi Line is completely underground, but only Sakurashinmachi Station has different platforms for going up and down (downhill is 2nd floor, uphill is 3rd floor). This is because Sakurashinmachi station is a waiting station for express trains to overtake each stop, and it has a two-line structure for both ups and downs, and is located along the old Tamagawa street, which is not wide. Lovely Sakura flowers ?

Not confusing to use. Belongs to the Denentoshi line. Connecting station to a good part of Shibuya ward.
