★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 「桜公園」と言いながらここのメインは桜の木ではなく戦争犠牲者を慰霊する鎮魂碑です。
桜の木が植えられた広場を前にして一段高く山裾に石碑が据えられています。
文字は達筆すぎて私には読めません。
しかし側面に楷書体で「宮津全市民の熱意によりここに戦争犠牲者の霊を祀り世界の平和と人類の幸福を祈念する」と彫られていて、慰霊のための施設であることがわかります。
 While saying "Sakura Park", the main thing here is not a cherry tree but a memorial monument to memorialize the victims of the war.

The letters are too good for me to read.
