★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 旧船坂峠の入口に建っている。現在はこの山神神社を境に通行止めとなっているのだが、新道が開通したことによる廃道扱いとなったと思われる。山神神社の社殿には、男性器を模した木製の棒が多数お供えされていた。

この山神神社は坂下集落において崇拝されており、創建は不詳だが棟札には嘉永元年(1848)に再興した記録があり、古くより集落の信仰を受けていたことがわかる。現在の社殿は船坂峠の改修工事に伴って新たに造営されたもので、平成六年のものである。

It is built at the entrance of the old Funasaka Pass. Currently, the road is closed at this mountain shrine, but it seems that it was treated as an abandoned road due to the opening of a new road. Many wooden sticks imitating male genitalia were offered in the main shrine of Yamajin Shrine.

This mountain shrine is worshiped in the Sakashita village, and although its construction is unknown, there is a record that it was revived in the first year of Kaei (1848), and it can be seen that it has been worshiped by the village since ancient times. The current shrine building was newly constructed along with the renovation work of Funasaka Toge, and dates back to 1994.
