T	Toshi Andy on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 徳川家康由縁の寺社仏閣巡りで訪問? とても歴史があり奥の深い西明寺でした‼️ ・平安時代/寛和期985年頃に三河国司/大江定基が「六光寺」を開基。・鎌倉時代、鎌倉幕府5代執権/北条時頼が出家し、最明寺入道となり諸国巡業の折、この地に暫し逗留し「最明寺」と改称。・1562年/永禄5年(桶狭間の戦いの2年後)、徳川家康が三河平定戦の中、四世快翁龍喜和尚が徳川の兵に粥を炊き配った事が縁で家康が寺に投宿、これが縁で1603年/慶長8年に弥陀の西方浄土から「西明寺」に改称、現在に至る。・参道両側の白壁が印象的、境内に東海最古の芭蕉句碑や武田信玄軍師/山本勘助の墓、山門横のモッコクは樹齢400年と案内板に❗️ ⭐️一番の見所⭐️ 【池泉回遊式庭園】正直、余り期待しないで覗く程度で行ってみたら、何と立派で驚きました? これだけの規模で整備されて無料で気軽に入れる日本庭園、もっと皆に知って欲しいですね‼️ 今回は冬真っ只中の訪問、次回は春訪問したいです、初夏も秋の紅葉も素敵でしょうね✨ 個人的に新しい発見、嬉しかったです? ・駐車場も沢山あって有難いです。・往来の道は少し狭くて交通量多め注意?
