紅梅や見ぬ戀作る玉すたれ
句は元禄２年（１６８９）の作。この碑は国府の俳人・平松喜春が天保１４年（１８４４）に建立したもの。説明板によれば、この句の真蹟が平松家に伝わっていたことから、芭蕉追悼のため１５０回忌に句碑を建立したとのこと。

Red plums and balls made by unseen
The phrase is made in the 2nd year of Genroku (1689). This monument was erected by Kiharu Hiramatsu, a poet of the national government, in 1844 (Tenpo 14). According to the explanation board, since the truth of this phrase was transmitted to the Hiramatsu family, a monument was erected for the 150th anniversary in memory of Basho.
