It is a temple famous for the memorial tower of the Honda family and the mortuary tablet of Honda Tadakatsu. The statue of Amida Nyorai in the main hall had a really cheerful face, and it seemed that all my worldly desires, like a mass of worldly desires, would be washed away (laughs). It seems that the Senju Sengensei Kannon Bosatsu statue in Kannon-do can be seen only once a year for the secret Buddha. Sorry! It seems that the book will open on July 10th next year. If you are interested, please do! Akamon was also strongly associated with the historical landscape. And, during the air raid on Okazaki from the early morning of July 19, 1945, the principal image, Kannon Bodhisattva statue, mortuary tablet, and Akamon are miraculously okay even if the temple is burned down. Do you call it a guide? Excerpt from the temple pamphlet below In 1610, in Kuwana, Kishu, the priest of Kuwana Castle, Tadamasa Honda, and his father, Tadakatsu Honda, were invited to honor the chief priest of Tozenji Temple (17th priest of Masueji Temple). It is said that Ichiu was erected. Since then, it has been relocated as the Bodhisattva Temple of Tadakatsu Honda with each transfer, but in 1770 it moved from Ishishu Hamada to this place in Okazaki. The principal image is a wooden statue of Amida Nyorai, which is said to have been made by the Keishin monk, and the statue of the Holy Kannon Bodhisattva, which is also said to have been made in the morning, and the mortuary tablet of Honda Tadakatsu are currently enshrined. Before the war, the mortuary tablets of the vassals, as well as the lord of Okazaki Castle, who had a connection with Tadakatsu, were enshrined in a large storehouse, but all of them were burned down with Dou on July 19, 1945. However, due to a mysterious connection, the principal idol, the statue of the Kannon Bodhisattva, etc. have survived the burning and continue to this day. This mountain has long been called "Kannon-san's Temple" and has been loved by many people. The fair of Kannon-do is on the 18th of every month, and during the year, prayers are served in the cold in winter, and in summer it is said to be 99,000 days (formerly the 9th of the month). Since the statue of the Senju Senju Kannon Bosatsu on this mountain is a secret Buddha, it is open only for one day on this day. It is widely known that Nishigishi-ji is the family temple of Honda Tadakatsu, but it is surprisingly known that the outer moat was built north and south on the eastern entrance of Okazaki Castle. not. In the olden days, I heard that a military commander who traveled on the Tokaido climbed up from the red gate of this temple with a basket. Before the war, several types of baskets were hung on the ceiling of the old main hall. The only area around this area that was burnt down is the Akamon, which is very old and is currently being repaired to the extent that it does not lose its appearance.
