Great Homely Feeling with Tasty Ramen
Ren restaurant is located close to Kamakura train station and a 5 minute walk from the famous Yukinoshita historical park and temples.
The place is pretty hidden as you walk past as it takes a secluded spot within the street, fortunate for us we spotted it with its red colour from the outside and entered. Upon entering you are welcomed in the traditional way and served water and given an english menu.
We were excited as the place smelled wonderful so we had high hopes. We ordered 2 different ramen sets and the smell whilst waiting 2 or 3 minutes was making us feel really hungry. The food came in massive bowls and we tucked into the ramen in the traditional slurping way.
The ramen was super delicious with a strong miso flavour which gave me a warm fuzzy feeling and great satisfaction after eating the whole bowl. Both ramen types were super yummy and had deep rooted flavour including fresh udon and complementaries.
Location is great to access both train and local area sightseeing with minutes to each.
Food prices were pretty cheap from 500 yen.
Recommendation
Fully recommended 8/10 for serving great food.
