★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cosy place with view on the river. Food was decently priced and good. English menu available. The waffles most of the comments rave about are only available after 3pm. I wish I had known before going in.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So delish! Next to temple, next to river and with vegetarian options and most clean food! Sweet potato salad was my fav. ?¥900 for this particular meal of 3 choices of dishes. Enjoy!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lunch was great here, though the takeout option might be a better deal. We came originally wanting the waffles but apparently they don’t start making those until late afternoon. Sad! How are you supposed to end a great meal without dessert?!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really good food and not to expensive in this lovely little cafe by the river. I got the pasta set which was freshly made and tasty, the little salad they gave was amazing. Then got waffles for dessert which were again freshly made and AMAZING. Definitely reccomend this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The lunch meals were okay. Coffee was good. The waffle was wonderful. The ambiance isa bit dreamy. There are window seats and although the view is nothing special, it adds to the atmosphere. It seats a fair number of people and the prices are on the higher mid range as far as Kyoto cafes go, but definitely to be expected as it is in the Gion area.
We tried the hot apple cinnamon waffle but I really want to come back to try the others.
