It's a small shop, but the level is quite high. It's delicious no matter what you eat. I want to replace the place with Mar ○ Blanche facing Kitayama-dori!

北大路にあるレクサスでお客様へのお茶菓子にも使われていた時期もあります。
片手で掴んでいただけるのも手が汚れなくて良いですね✨

It's packed in a small store.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a small but fantastic patisserie in Kitayama, Kyōto just a little north of the Botanical Garden (ten minute walk). Everything is made by one very talented pastry chef who studied in France. Some of my favorites are the Choux Creme (last pic) and the oval-shaped Chocolate Tort (first pic) with its deep burnt caramel, walnuts, cacao dusting and effortlessly creamy mousse it will be one of the fondest food memories I keep of Kyōto. Well worth the walk if you’ve made it to Kitayama. There are a lot of patisseries here but Patissrie Tango de Chat Noir is one of the best. Lots of other items as well like cookies and pops all wrapped up and ready to go with your picnic on the river. The owner does not speak much English but that’s okay. One can easily make a purchase by just pointing at the cake fridge and holding up a finger or two (or three). Show her my pics if it helps. ?
Note: there are only two tables but as this is a bit away from downtown one is more than likely going to be able to find a seat. Drinks (coffee/tea) is available but not required for eating-in.
