駅を降りてすぐ目に入ってくるケーキハウスの店先のショートケーキが、出町柳の素晴らしさに一役買っているのは言うまでもありません。

味ですが、シュークリームだが、シューと生クリームが硬く甘さが足らない。プリンも固すぎ、すが立ってて甘さが足らない。
The owner of this shop, who treats foreigners (Westerners) as if they were biting a bite, was very uncomfortable looking from the side.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 四種類のケーキがセットになりワンホールになった様な商品を買いました。家族でシェアするのに便利。甘さがクドくなく、普段使いにお値段も味も丁度です。他の人も書いておられますが、お店の人に絶対的な愛想は求めるべきではありません。愛想が良くても美味しくない店は次第に足が遠のきますが、その逆はありますよね。
I bought a product that looks like a set of four kinds of cakes. Convenient to share with your family. The sweetness is not so bad, and the price and taste are just right for everyday use. As others have written, you shouldn't ask the shop staff for absolute amiability. Shops that are amiable but not delicious are gradually going away, but the opposite is true.

先日、ゆずレモンのかき氷を頂きました。
チープな容器に入ってますが、味は格別！
とっても美味しかったです。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ そっかあ、、おっちゃん不愛想って感じちゃうか、、おとといも入って、「今、ｺｰﾋｰ頂ける？」って聞いたら、「ｹｰｷもお召し上がっていただけないと、、」って言うから 「もちろん」って言ったら満足したような顔してくれたよ。 おばちゃんは不愛想じゃないと思うよ。値段もﾘｰｽﾞﾅﾌﾞﾙだし慣れて下さい。

お店の人は優しかったです。
朝ごはんを食べそびれてしまって、出町柳駅で待ち時間の間によりました。下がパリパリした薄いクッキー生地で、中にクリームとスポンジが混じったものが入っています。330円とお安く、モンブランは小さめでしたが美味しかったです。ショートケーキが人気な様子です。

I missed breakfast and had to wait at Demachiyanagi station. Below is a thin, crispy cookie dough with a mixture of cream and sponge inside. It was cheap at 330 yen, and Mont Blanc was small but delicious. Shortcake seems to be popular.

こじんまりとした店内で品数は多くは有りませんが私は何回か当店のケーキを買いに行きます。
京都で色々な洋菓子店のケーキを食べましたが
甘ったるくないのが一番良いです。
前より若干値上げしましたがそれでも350円。
一個600〜700円以上のゴチャゴチャした甘ったるい高いケーキよりシンプルなほうが好きです。

が一番オススメします。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A tiny cake shop right in front of Demachiyanagi Station. It seems the speciality is roll cake. Bought one strawberry shortcake and a chocolate roll cake. The cake isn't too sweet, which I like, and not too dense nor too fluffy. The price is reasonable and a bit cheaper than bigger cake shop. Only accept cash.
