Pretty much like the American version and not as expensive as I thought (¥1100 for a plate). There’s an option of half chow mein & half fried rice but left me disappointed, much better just chow mein.

Panda Express!! OMG! Lol I used to have this on campus in CA. Totally unhealthy but I love it. Such a guilty pleasure. the flavor is of course consistent with the ones in US and the potion is pretty much the same in my opinion. The service ladies spoke decent English and there are fair amount of non Japanese speakers in line as well, so no need to worry abt complications in ordering. I went there Sunday evening and line was pretty crazy, but it went fast enough. Pricing though. It’s ¥850 for a bowl and ¥1050 for plate. We didn’t need “side” so we just got à la carte. Considering, you can get decent bowl of ramen below ¥1,000, it’s a bit of waste of money but I’m paying for nostalgia. If you are not into American Chinese food, don’t go.

I lived in Los Angeles for 5 years to attend college. When I was there, comfort food meant authentic Asian food, which was luckily not so hard to find. I knew there are a few Panda Express locations in Japan, but hey, why bother eating Panda Express when you have all the Japanese delicacies around you. Today, however, when I had a bite of the so-called Chinese food, I immediately became my younger self sitting in the on-campus dining hall, grabbing a quick lunch right before next class. The food is - well, Panda Express food, and it's definitely overpriced, but I'm very glad it's here.

Listen, I love American Chinese food. I’ve been in Japan for over 3 years and just really needed my fix and I couldn’t believe this Panda Express they just put up in Shibuya. To be honest, the chow mein was so-so, but the orange chicken was AMAZING. Also there’s some tofu and eggplant dish which was great. The beef with broccoli was okay but tasted just like home haha. The eggroll was kind of greasy but still pretty good, and they have unlimited refills for 250¥. Overall, although a little pricey, this definitely will meet your Chinese food fix, my friend. Do the thing. Buy the chicken ? you won’t regret it AND ITS NEXT TO A TACO BELL WHAAAT ? ?

A chain that’s reasonably priced and have good chinese food. You can choose from three sizes and each comes with a base and 1,2,3 sides respectively. The base is fried rice or noodles. I would recommend half-half. Then sides: orange chicken is a must have. Flavored Shrimp is good too, but you have to pay extra 200 yen. The food was really tasty. A big of the orange chicken. The staff was friendly and one guy spoke good English.

Chinese-American fast food. Vibrant area. You can eat outside looking around Shibuya area. Speedy serving, enough portion.

Chinese food in America is comfort food for many no matter what your cultural background is. And of course here in Tokyo, when the craving for some “American” Chinese food hits, the only place you can take care of it is at Panda Express. I’ve been to this one in Shibuya (there are other locations) several times and often get their famous Orange chicken and the staple of American Chinese Kung Pao chicken with a half and half side of fried rice and chow mein. It’s a taste that I grew up with and I must say it’s been great being able to enjoy a taste of what I grew up with in the US in Tokyo these days. Lovely to have this kind of chinese fast food in tokyo, just like what I had in Sydney. You can choose 1 or 2 veggies and meat options with rice or noodle. They have varieties of famous asian dishes, such as black pepper beef, king pao chicken, etc. The taste is good for a chinese fast food. The only con I feel is the price, as it exceeds 1,000 yen for two options and rice (it was 1,200 yen). Back in Aussie, this kinda food was the cheapest you can get outside but for Japan, it is expensive as you have cheaper options like yoshinoya or even mc donalds.
