立て看板に説明があるので、前橋の歴史を知ることができます。
ただ、たばこの吸い殻が大量に落ちていたので、前橋市民のマナーの悪さがとても気になりました。
ものすごく残念に感じます。
It's an occasional road, but I never knew there was such a thing.
You can learn about the history of Maebashi because there is an explanation on the signboard.
However, since a large amount of cigarette butts had fallen, I was very worried about the bad manners of Maebashi citizens.
I feel very disappointed.

It stands quietly in the city. Although it has been relocated due to land readjustment, it is a valuable remains that reminds us of the past.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 群馬県庁からまっすぐ東に３００メートルくらいでしょうか？ひっそりとある史跡です。前橋に３０年くらい住んでいてよく通る近くなのに初めてマジマジと見ました。前橋城門の跡ですがこんな街中に立派な石垣が残っているとは知りませんでした。群馬県庁付近が前橋城跡なのでかなり離れた位置に門があったのですね。オフィスビルの影にあるので本当に目立ちません。車やバイク、自転車でも見逃してしまうかもしれません。駐車場はありませんので市役所などに行かれたついでに見に行かれると良いと思います。
Is it about 300 meters straight east of the Gunma Prefectural Office? It is a quiet historic site. I've lived in Maebashi for about 30 years and it's close to where I often go, but I saw it for the first time. It is the remains of the Maebashi castle gate, but I did not know that a magnificent stone wall remained in such a city. The area around the Gunma Prefectural Office is the site of Maebashi Castle, so there was a gate at a considerable distance. It's in the shadow of an office building so it doesn't really stand out. You may miss it on your car, motorcycle or bicycle. There is no parking lot, so it would be nice to go to see it while you are at the city hall.
