This is a small Japanese garden style. The entrance fee is 300¥. I come at 5PM to see the light-up. It took about 20 minutes there.

Small beautiful Japanese garden where an Mr. Ootaguro, an composer used to live. It has Japanese tea house, western classic house with old furnitures and a grand piano, small lake with a cottage and so many trees. I love seasonal events for autumn moon 十五夜 and red leaves light up.

I have lived in Ogikubo for 17 years and this is my absolute favorite spot at any time of year but especially autumn.

Relatively small but truly beautiful park! Hidden gem in Ogikubo's residential area. It offers complete experience of autumn in Japan with ginkgo trees and maple leaves. You can really feel Japanese vibes in this beautiful park.

Enjoy the view of a traditional Japanese gardening, here at Otaguro Park. It is not as spacious as you might expect from a park, but it has every element of Japanese gardening you might want in your back yard!

Small, peaceful and quiet. Plenty of benches to sit around. Only the sound of nature. Educational park as there are small signs printed with the names of the plants and a QR code next to it. You can use your phones to scan and find out more details about the plants which I find quite interesting. Also, there’s a board showing what kind of birds that you can spot in the park. Very thoughtful.

30-40mins ride from Tokyo. 10mins walk from JR Ogikubo station. Not a very big park but great landscape with a line of Ginkgo trees and a lot of Japanese maple. Recommended to visit during Autumn around Mid to late November. Free entrance from 9-5 but you need to pay ¥500 to watch illumination at night.

A charming little park or garden just a short walk away from Ogikubo station. I find it especially dazzling in autumn because of the many acers. Very very photogenic in combination with the pinetrees, streams and the pond with the many koi in it.
