★ ★ ★ ★ ★ その名の通りの場所の名残として門構えがあるのみ。建物とかはないが、入り口前の桜と門構えが、荻窪の古き風情さを感じる。
 There is only a portal as a remnant of the place as the name implies. It is not a building, but the cherry blossoms and the gate in front of the entrance feel the old taste of Ogikubo.

せめて何か説明書きが欲しいですね。

I passed through the tracks, but only the gate.

入り口の桜の木の大きさに圧倒されながら、何があるかと、くぐるってみると向こう側はビルになっていました。
ちょっとした異空間です?

I was overwhelmed by the size of the cherry tree at the entrance, and when I went through it, I found a building on the other side.

元の持ち主がこの地を他の人に譲ったが、
譲り受けた人とこの建物を残すとの堅い約束を
したとのこと。
新たな持ち主がこの約束を守り、
政府が出した取り壊し命令にも応じず、
この御小休所と門を守ったため、
今のところに残る感動的な逸話が残っています。
An historic site behind a large building on the south side of Ogikubo station.
The original owner gave it to another person,
A firm promise to leave this building with the assignee
I did.
A new owner keeps this promise,
In response to the government's demolition order,
Because we protected this Oyakusho and the gate,
There are moving anecdotes that remain so far.

明治天皇がお出かけになる際に休息所として利用された建物なんだって！
I found it when I took a walk in Ogikubo!
About a 3-minute walk from the south exit of Ogikubo Station.
The building was used as a resting place when Emperor Meiji went out!

Right from the south exit of Ogikubo Station, it's located between the building and the driveway, which makes me wonder why, the building is splendid, just like the Edo period.

茶屋は、見学が出来ないようで残念です。
