森	森昭二 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ かつて尾張の守護所のあった下津城の跡です。ちなみに下津は「おりづ」と読みます。下津城といっても守護所なので、今の私達の感覚では館といった造りだったと思います。ところで、下津城は文明八年(1476)の兵火で焼失したので守護所は清洲に移転したのですが、もしそれがなければ、この後もこの下津城が尾張の政治の中心だったのか、織田信長もここを拠点にしたのか、そして清洲城のような巨大な織豊系城郭に大改修されたのか・・・現在地表には城の痕跡は何もありませんが、歴史好きで稲沢市民である私にとっては色々興味を掻き立てる場所ではあります。以下碑文を掲載します。尾張守護代織田敏廣の居城であって永享四年には将軍足利義教も宿泊したという文明八年西暦1476敏廣は弟敏定に敗れ城も焼かれ滅んだところで碑文には室町幕府第六代将軍・足利義教も宿泊したことがある、とありますが、一宮の妙興寺には義教の肖像画が伝わっています。妙興寺に肖像画があるのはこの宿泊が縁なのでしょうか。余談ながら、複製ではありますが、足利義教と織田敏定の肖像画を名古屋市博物館の常設展示のコーナーで見ることができます。 It is the site of Orizu Castle, where the guardian office of Owari used to be.
