料金所の名残でイオンモールの前あたりが広くなってるのが分かるかと思います。
スピードが出やすい道路だからか、草津方面向きで速度違反の取り締まりも行われてるのも見かけます。
ご注意あれ。
広い歩道があるので、ランニングを楽しむかたも多くいらっしゃります。

近江大橋は何も悪くない！気づかなかった私が悪い！
再度いきます！きっと！多分！もしかしたら！チャンスがあったら！
どうしようかな？やっぱり辞めよかな？
I wanted to cross the Biwako Bridge, but I crossed the Omi Ohashi Bridge. Navi says, "The route will change depending on traffic conditions." I didn't notice it!
Omi Ohashi is not bad at all! I didn't notice it was bad!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 自転車で走りました。北側の歩道には中ほどにたまり場があり、展望用となっています。道路に仕掛けがあり、車で走るとタイヤの音が琵琶湖就航の歌になっていますね。
I ran on a bicycle. There is a hangout in the middle of the sidewalk on the north side, which is for viewing. There is a gimmick on the road, and when you drive, the sound of the tires is the song for Lake Biwa.

2013年末に無料化され瀬田の渋滞も多少はマシになったような変わらないような。

昔、琵琶湖にかかっている橋は琵琶湖大橋だけかと思っていたら間違っていました。
近江大橋は駅からも近く、単に運動している方も渡っていたりしました。
一人旅の途中で琵琶湖を渡ろうと思って近所の人に道を尋ねて渡りましたが、「おおみおおはし」という読み方が分からず顔から火を吹いた。
