★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 入館無料．説明パネルとジオラマが充実していて高瀬川の治水治山の歴史，利水の様子が良くわかります．このダムが無ければ，暴れ川が恐ろしくて安曇野には移住しなかったと思います．
情報館前のロータリーには散策路の説明板があります．季節が良ければ往復1～2時間のハイキングを楽しめそうです．
また，事前に予約すればダムの点検通路を見学させていただけるようです．
Free admission. The explanation panel and diorama are enriched, and you can see the history of the flood control mountain of Takase River and the state of water use. Without this dam, I think the rampage river was so scary that I didn't move to Azumino.
There is an explanation board of the walking path in the rotary in front of the information building. If the season is good, you can enjoy a 1-2 hour round trip.
Also, if you make a reservation in advance, you will be able to visit the inspection passage of the dam.

コンパクトなスペースですが、短時間で大町ダムの規模や役割などの概要が掴めるので、ダムに関心のある人はぜひ足を踏み入れてみてください。
コロナ禍のためか、ビデオとジオラマ案内が中止されているのが残念でした。
蛇足ですが、大町ダムが渓谷に立ちはだかっている姿は、市街地を挟む鷹狩山中腹にある山岳博物館の庭から、西側の山際にはっきり見ることができ、ここを訪れた後に逆方向から俯瞰すると感動的です。
