S	Shinji oomura on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ サムライアーマーを観に戦国武将好きの長男と岡山県立美術館へ行ってきました。後楽園、岡山城などと隣接しており立地が最高でした。館内も綺麗で息子も大満足です。 I went to the Okayama Prefectural Museum of Art with my eldest son who likes Sengoku warlords to see the samurai armor. The location was excellent as it was adjacent to Korakuen and Okayama Castle. The hall is beautiful and my son is very satisfied.
渡	渡辺裕二 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 敢えて辛口で。とにかく受付の対応が悪いです。例えば、急にもよおして「トイレを借りたい」と申し出たお年寄りにも、クールに「入館者以外、トイレだけの使用はお断りしています」と断り、では近くのどこに公衆トイレがあるか等の案内は無し。百歩譲って、入館者以外の利用を断るのは理解しても、県立の観光施設の対応とは思えません。観光客誘致を目指す岡山県にしては残念です。岡山はこんな公共施設の職員がよく目につきますね。 Dare to be dry. Anyway, the reception is bad. For example, an elderly person who suddenly requests to borrow a toilet, coolly refuses to say, "I refuse to use only the toilet except for those who enter the building." There is no guidance. Even if you understand that you will refuse the use of visitors other than visitors, it does not seem like a prefectural tourist facility. It's a shame for Okayama Prefecture to aim to attract tourists. In Okayama, the staff of such public facilities are often noticed.

K	Keiichi Takahata on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 当日は、上杉謙信の愛刀で備前刀の最高峰として名高い国宝太刀　無銘一文字（山鳥毛）が特別公開されていました。５億円が集まるのか心配しましたが、購入出来たんですね。その名刀の前には岡山県立博物館で見たことがない行列が出来ていました。刀剣ブームの影響か女性も多かったです。炎や乱気流の雲のような躍動感のある刃文が美しかったです。刃文で感動したのは初めてでした。 On the day, the national treasure sword known as the highest peak of Bizen sword with Kenshin Uesugi's favorite sword 刀 Untitled one character (Yamatorige) was specially opened. I was worried about collecting 500 million yen, but I could buy it. In front of the famous sword, there was a line that had never been seen at the Okayama Prefectural Museum. J	Julien F on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not enough explanations in English, and some parts of the museum looked really austere. Not very pedagogical. I saw a succession of katana blades on a white background, which all looked kind of similar to me, and I don't feel like I know more about them now. Which is a shame because they have borrowed a large number of great pieces, from 12th century onwards.
M	Michael Oliver on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a beautiful museum, with seemingly a lot of history. Lots of clay, wooden, and bronze statues, along with plenty of historical artwork. Unfortunately there only seem to be 4 rooms with exhibits, which doesn't seem worth 650 yen. If you don't read Japanese, you may find it disappointing as there is almost no English here (not even pamphlets). Some of the titles of exhibits are in English, though many are not. There are around 150 or so statues/artwork spread throughout the rooms, all with detailed Japanese explanations.
F	François Marquis on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice little museum. A lot of information in English for a change. It was the last day of an exposition on Bizen katanas, so I enjoyed it a lot. Sadly, no pictures allowed.
