There are ticket gates at both ends of the platform, and the zoo is about 4 minutes on foot from the west exit ticket gate. Panda artworks are scattered around the station building.
ヨ	ヨッパのホッシー on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 王子動物園の最寄り駅。神戸線の開業から15年後の昭和11年(1936年)、神戸駅(現在の神戸三宮)までの延伸と同時に西灘駅として開業。旧神戸駅は上筒井に改称し西灘駅から分岐して上筒井線となった。現在も駅の山側に当時の分岐線路が残っている。なお、阪神淡路大震災の神戸線復旧時には、車両搬入経路の一つとして、この分岐線路を使い車両をクレーン車で吊り上げ搬入がなされた。昭和59年(1984年)に現在駅名となる王子公園に改称した。 The nearest station to Oji Zoo. The former Kobe station was renamed Kamitsutsui and branched off from Nishinada station to become the Kamitsutsui line. When the Kobe Line was restored after the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, vehicles were lifted and carried in by cranes using this branch line as one of the vehicle carry-in routes. In 1984, the name was changed to Oji Park, which is now the station name.
A	Atsushi Yamamoto on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 住んでいる人以外は王子動物園に行く時に利用するであろう駅。ベビーカー連れのファミリーが沢山乗り降りすることが容易に想像できるのに、何故か王子動物園に近い側の改札は階段のみでエレベーターが設置されていない点が凄く残念。（2019年10月14日現在）駅の構造上設置できないのかよくわかりませんが改善を望みます。 This station will be used when you go to the Oji Zoo except those who live. Although it is easy to imagine that many families with baby strollers will get on and off, it is very unfortunate that the ticket gate on the side near Oji Zoo is only stairs and no elevator is installed. (As of October 14, 2019) I'm not sure if it can't be installed because of the station structure, but I would like to improve it.
