ク	クロ on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 山田温泉の中心にある共同浴場です。浴室は総ひのき造りとなっていて、湯気が満ちていました。「あつ湯」と「ぬる湯」に浴槽がわかれているのですがぬる湯といってもそれなりの温度でした。こういった雰囲気の浴室は今までに見たことがなかったので、高評価とさせていただきました。ここの洗い場では蛇口やシャワーがありませんでした。配管の代わりに木の板で温泉が止めてあり、木の板を手前に引くと温泉が流れ出てくるという仕組みになっています。こういったしくみもなかなかおもしろいと思いました。 It is a communal bath in the center of Yamada Onsen. The bathroom was made of Japanese cypress and was full of steam. The bathtub is divided into "hot water" and "warm water", but the temperature was reasonable even though it was lukewarm water. I have never seen a bathroom with this kind of atmosphere, so I gave it a high rating. There were no faucets or showers in the washroom here. The hot spring is stopped by a wooden board instead of the pipe, and when the wooden board is pulled toward you, the hot spring flows out. I found this kind of mechanism to be quite interesting.

A sign suggested to use a coin locker (100 yen which returns upon re-inserting a key) to store valuable. Not so spacious, need to have little courage to soak in a tub with locals. A lukewarm tub for left, and a hot water tub (bigger tub) for right. Three washing stations very end in the room. No faucets, but very creative method to stop and flow water (need to think little to release the water stopper.) A floating white thing in hot spring is called "Yu no hana:flower in water) which is natural and it finds from a certain type of hot spring in Japan. Very good soaking experience after a long hike (about 12 km) from Suzaka station. Hop in a last bus (18:15 about 700 yen to the station) to end the trip.
