★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 広瀬川にかかる城と城下をつなぐ橋です。現在、大手すじは大橋から大手門へ、まっすぐに伸びていますが、かつては防御のために大手門の手前で左に折れていたことが明治時代に撮影された古写真からわかります。大手門に行く前に二の丸からの攻撃を受けるように作られています。大橋は、明治25年に鉄橋に架け替えられ、道路も直線に替えられました。広瀬川の川底には橋脚の柱を据えるために岩盤を掘り込んだ柱穴が見られ、かつての橋の位置は現在よりやや北側にあったことが分かります。
It is a bridge that connects the castle over the Hirose River with the castle. At present, the major streak extends straight from Ohashi to Ote-mon, but it can be seen from an old photograph taken in the Meiji era that it used to turn left before Ote-mon for protection. It is designed to be attacked by Ninomaru before going to Otemon. Ohashi was replaced with a steel bridge in 1905, and the road was replaced with a straight line. At the bottom of the Hirose River, there is a pillar hole dug out of rock to mount a pillar on the pier, indicating that the former bridge was located slightly north of now.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 大町西公園駅からルーブル仙台のバス停に行くには、この橋を渡ります。バス停は渡ってすぐにあります。ここから一つ先のバス停が青葉城跡の頂上になります。歩くとしんどいです。
Cross this bridge to get to the Louvre Sendai bus stop from Omachi Nishikoen Station. The bus stop is just across the road. The bus stop one step ahead from here will be the top of the Aoba Castle Ruins. It's hard to walk.
