★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 十和田湖の全貌がよくわかる展望台ではないだろうか?ここまでの道のりはクネクネガタガタ…着いても廃墟っぽくて寂しい…駐車場のトイレに手洗い（水道）が無い…、だけど上から見下ろす景色は良かった?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 102号を通っているといきなり現れます。広い駐車場もあるのでいいですね。この先にある展望台に行くよりはこちらの展望台を訪れたほうがいいです。遊覧船から見える紅葉・十和田湖とはまた違った景色を見ることが出来ます。見た目は少し古そうですが、十和田湖ができるまでの経緯やどこになんという山があるなどの案内板もあるので十和田湖観光がより一層楽しむことが出来ます。
It will appear suddenly when you pass No. 102. It's nice because there is also a large parking lot. It is better to visit this observatory than to go to the observatory in the future. You can see a different view from the autumn leaves and Lake Towada seen from the pleasure boat. It looks a little old, but you can enjoy sightseeing in Lake Towada even more because there is a guide board that tells you how the lake was created and where the mountains are.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 十和田湖旅行の際に行きました。山道を進んでいくと開けた駐車場があり、展望台も道路を挟んだ逆側にあります。
十和田湖の宿泊側から離れているので、本来の大自然を感じることができます。大雨や大雪など天候があまりに悪い際には通行止めに気をつける必要があります。
写真のようにこじんまりした展望台ですが、それはそれで非常に味があると感じました。当日は写真のように霧がかかっておりましたが、逆に幻想的な十和田湖の雰囲気を堪能することができました。十和田湖のレアな観光スポットです。
駐車場は広いので駐車できない心配は一切ありません。観光はもちろん無料です。
I went on a trip to Lake Towada. There is an open parking lot along the mountain road, and the observatory is on the other side of the road.
Since it is far from the accommodation side of Lake Towada, you can feel the original nature. When the weather is too bad, such as heavy rain or heavy snow, you need to be careful about road closures.
It's a small observatory as shown in the picture, but I felt it was very tasty. It was foggy as shown in the photo on the day, but on the contrary, I was able to enjoy the fantastic atmosphere of Lake Towada. It is a rare tourist spot on Lake Towada.
The parking lot is large so you don't have to worry about not being able to park. Sightseeing is of course free.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It would for sure look much better on a clear day. It was fairly windy, cloudy, and raining a bit when we went. The building itself is very old and looks quite aged from the outside. Be prepared for a long, curvy road on the drive up. It took quite awhile to reach the top.
